Jean Leon Gerome (1824 - 1904)

Jean-Léon Gérôme, 1824 - 1904 tarihleri arasında yaşamış Fransız ressam, heykeltraş ve öğretmen.

Tarihsel ve oryantalist stilde resimler yapmıştır. Oryantalizm akımının en önemli sanatçılarındandır. Yaşamının son 25 yılında heykelle de uğraşmıştır. Bir çok ünlü resaamın öğretmeni olmuştur. Öğrencileri arasında Odilon, Redon, Thomas Eakins, Osman Hamdi Bey ve Şeker Ahmet Paşa gibi ünlü ressamlar bulnmaktadır.
